Coming home late one evening, we were headed west for several miles, just at sunset. The glow of the sun seemed to highlight the power station along the way, and even the lines.

The back field has a large stand of common evening primrose this summer. It blooms at night, a pretty yellow flower that is gone by mid day. The plants are tall and scraggly, but a favorite with the birds.

Check out this  hairdo. This is the first time I have seen a waxwing from behind.
