Two views taken from Prouts Neck, in Scarborough taken last Saturday. You may recognize the name as the place where the painter Winslow Homer spent his later years. The top view is looking south toward Old Orchard Beach, and the other is straight east. June was very wet and often foggy here in Maine. This was one of the few days that we had sun.To see sky photos from all over the world, please visit Skywatch Friday

Lovely photos of the sea. It’s reminding me of holiday with the great day. Have a nice weekend!
What serene views. I think I would learn how to paint if I lived there. You paint it wonderfully with light and your camera.
ahhhh Maine in summer, how beautiful and how kind of you to share this pretty view of the horizon with us all.
Sandy, these are lovely. You’ve captured the best of summer!
Though the first shot is nice I particularly like the second with the spit of land jutting out into the water.
Thanks for stopping by my post today.
Those are just gorgeous photos you posted!
I love Maine… It’s where my husband and I went on our honeymoon… Bar Harbor… 31 yrs ago… reminiscing as our anniversary is in a few weeks… thanks for these ‘moments looking out at your graceful waters.

Just beautiful. Your coastline and these shots are gorgeous.
Wonderful shot. This view of the harbor reminds me nature is big, but we are not. We are but a part of her. Wonderful photo.
I do love Homer, but the name had escaped me – but it’s easy to see him living there!
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
