I chose wildflowers for the first post of my new photo blog because they are one of my favorite things to photograph. The trout lily is a first for me, as is the hobble bush. I found both of these at Wolf Neck Woods State Park, near Freeport, Maine. My friends, and I were there to walk and see the ospreys, and finding the flowers was a bonus for me. We have a few wood anemones (first shot) in the woods behind our house, but nothing like the masses of flowers we saw yesterday.
gardenpath is still in place, and will be. I will still have photos here from my much smaller garden, but tend to take more nature photos these days.

Ooh Sandy! This looks really nice!
Nice start. I particularly like Trout Lilies and have been fortunate to photograph a number of them this year here in Pennsylvania. I’ll be up your way in about a month when we spend two weeks in Acadia in search of wildflowers, landscape, birds and such to photograph.
Lovely! The photos are beautiful and I like the new site. Good job!
Beautiful, Sandy! I love your new blog… and of course your content speaks straight to my heart. Trout lilies and hobblebush rank on the top of my favorites list.
Congrats on the new blog. I think it’s going to be great to visit here. Hugs, G
PS: Ill take the link to add to my blogroll.
