This is another photo of Kettle Cove in Cape Elizabeth. If your follow my blog, you will know that I like this place. We take a lunch there quite often on Saturday or Sunday. There are always ducks, birds and boats to watch, and plenty of trails for walking. I am not much on touristy photos, but go for bits of nature, this place has plenty of that. The shot I used for my poem on four winds haiga this week came from this spot, too. See that here.

Today, my neighbor called me over to see a red fox sleeping in a pile of leaves behind their house. A pair of them have been seen around here lately, so we all have been on the lookout. I was able to get quite close with my camera, before this one got nervous, and took off.

I picked up some Piñata apples last week at the store. They were not true red, but a pretty pinkish color. I sat one on the edge of the table and snapped a shot using just natural light. See that blue spot on the side of the apple? That is light coming in the window through my cobalt glass. The white is my not so bright overhead kitchen light. The texture is something from the alchemy filters in Corel. Not sure which one since I forgot to name it when I saved the photo. The matte is one of my Keynote template theme backgrounds.
